Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
